Tanya Kallis, sole owner of Kids ‘n Mind, qualified as a BC certified teacher in 2000. Her teaching career began with School District 57 and consisted of positions in Kindergarten to Grade 7 (along with short-term library and support teacher positions). She also spent 2 years
teaching in an Independent Christian School, offering half-day Kindergarten,
intermediate Science, and ACE support (i.e., Accelerated Christian Education).
In 2003, she stepped into an international market by offering ESL
instruction (i.e., English as a Second Language instruction) in South Korea. In
2008/2009, she filled in as the College and Career Preparation English
instructor at the College of New Caledonia (Mackenzie Campus). Tutoring (casually) is something she has
done for several years. In 2011, Tanya
decided to launch her home-based business, Kids 'n Mind, offering
educational services in her small community. At present, Kids 'n Mind
offers distributed learning and children's
church programming.
